Long Winter Ending – Time to Get Serious

It’s been a long cold winter.

That’s not to say I’ve been sitting on my ass all winter. I still went walking on 15 degree days, used my treadmill extensively, and so on.

But I also ate like a friggin pig 🙂

So here we are on February 20th (my sister’s birthday – Happy Birthday Sheri!) and I was finally able to take down our Christmas decorations on the front lawn and roof. Yippee!

And I can spark up my grill tonight!!!

But I also (on Friday) re-joined Weight Watchers because I had such success with them a few years back – then I let myself go again (some circumstances, etc.). So I am on the path to make my changes.

Step one – lose some weight

Step two – lose the fat

Step three – shape up

Step four – train for running

Today, so far I am on track to stay within my point total and also did my 30 minutes on the treadmill. About 13 minutes jogging and the rest, walking.

I will post some particulars soon – maybe even a “before” pic.
